The Carving Studio & Sculpture Center's programs and historically important facilities attract local, national, and international artists, and creatives seeking to delve into the world of sculpting and carving with curiosity and craftsmanship.
The vitality of the Carving Studio & Sculpture Center's programs engender financial support from program participants, studio memberships, donors, and community friends both locally and at a national and international level. Our programming is funded through workshop fees, commissioned sculptures, membership contributions, individual and corporate donations, and grant support from foundations and organizations.
What We Are Looking For
Summary of the Position
We are seeking a dynamic, visionary leader to serve as our next Executive Director and lead our organization into its next phase of growth and continued success on site – in West Rutland, Vermont. Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Executive Director embraces the organization’s strategic plan and enacts the vision of The Carving Studio and Sculpture Center. The Executive Director ensures operational efficiency and manages all programming, staffing, and community outreach and exceeds our artistic and financial goals.
Overseeing daily operations, providing leadership direction of all programs and working with staff, the Executive Director is responsible for the following functions: programming, exhibitions, residencies, interns, and outreach. As the face of the organization, you will play a leading role in cultivating financial support, resources, our artistic community, and championing the organization and its programs.

Salary: Salary Commensurate with Experience ($60,000 - $75,000)
