    Description

    The Coalition of Irish Immigration Centers advances its members through collaboration and education to benefit the Global Irish in the United States. Currently, the organization has ten active member centers across the U.S. that provide a unique array of services, outreach, and assistance to Irish immigrants.

    Having just completed an in-depth governance and organizational review, the Coalition seeks an innovative leader to lead the day-to-day operations of the organization, including programming and communications, as well as launch a membership expansion plan.

    SUMMARY

    The Executive Director provides leadership and oversight to all organizational areas and is responsible for the organization's consistent achievement of mission, strategy, and financial objectives. The Executive Director reports directly to the Board Chair and to the Coalition’s Board of Directors and engages regularly with its regionally diverse membership to ensure that the well-established network among member centers remains strong and interactive through national programming and information sharing. The successful candidate will have strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

    Duties

    • Collaborate with the Board of Directors and Board committees to support the Coalition’s mission and ensure organizational best practices and compliance with requirements and regulations related to 501c3 status;
    • Facilitate the current membership program and spearhead the next phase of membership expansion;
    • Develop and execute a strategic communications plan, including oversight of social media, public relations, and digital engagement to enhance the Coalition’s visibility and impact;
    • Organize Annual General Meeting for membership;
    • Manage ESP grant funding in alignment with established priorities and guidelines
    • Oversee and monitor organizational strategy for increased impact and program reach;
    • Provide all aspects of financial reporting and implementations of policies;
    • Direct all programming, including tracking output, outcomes, and impact from program committees and the Immigration Analysis Program, direct education initiatives and professional learning sessions;
    • Act as chief communications and spokesperson for all internal and external communications;
    • Spearhead grant application processes to secure funding to support the mission and programming needs of the organization and further adhere to all required grant reporting processes that highlight the achievement of outline objectives and the positive impact of the Coalition;
    • Prioritize the Coalition’s connection to and position in the Global Irish Network through regular interaction with government entities, including Diplomats, Consulates & Embassies (national/international), as well as other diaspora organizations;
    • Actively manage and participate in external program committees that benefit the Irish Diaspora to provide national recognition and engagement with same;
    • Maintain a working knowledge of best practices and trends in nonprofit leadership, social services/wellness, immigration policy, and topics pertinent to the Irish Diaspora;
    • Supervise & maintain consistent interaction with any/all organizational staff, consultants, volunteers & vendors.

    Qualification/Skills

    • 5+ years of growth-oriented nonprofit leadership;
    • Strong affinity to the Coalition’s mission and programming, connection to the Irish community a plus;
    • Strong oral and written communication skills required;
    • Exceptional networking skills and demonstrated ability in relationship cultivation and building collaborative teams;
    • Comfortable interacting with diverse stakeholders;
    • Fluent in program assessment to demonstrate outcomes and impacts;
    • Must be action-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and objectives simultaneously;
    • Fluency in graphic design applications (Canva, Illustrator, etc.), MS Workspace application, social media platforms, email applications (Constant Contact), Zoom essential; QuickBooks and financial reports essential;
    • Geographical proximity to existing member center preferred;
    • Being comfortable working in a remote environment necessary.
