  • About Us

Since 1905, the Mission has been connecting people in Downeast Maine to their strengths by offering healthcare, education, food, shelter, and spiritual support.

At our Downeast Campus in Cherryfield, we build community through food security, afterschool programs, youth development, scholarships, housing rehabilitation, and events. For islands miles off the Maine coast, our 74-foot ship, the Sunbeam, serves as a floating community center, bringing nurses and telehealth, a chance to gather for meals, and a roster of educational programming and enriching events. At the Maine Seacoast Mission, all staff are part of a team committed to serving the people of an exceptionally beautiful region with compassion and respect.
