  • About Us

Since its founding in 1974, CT Humanities (CTH) has supported hundreds of organizations and millions of people statewide through grants and public programs. Financial support from the National Endowment for the Humanities is augmented by generous foundations, sponsors, and individual donors. Programs active in 2017 include Book Voyagers, children’s literature discussion programs; Center for the Book featuring the CT Book Awards; CT Humanities grant Fund including capacity building grants and technical assistance for heritage organizations; and www.connecticuthistory.org, that houses stories about the people, traditions, innovations and events that make up the rich history of our state. CTH’s Community Conversations for 2017 are focused on Race and Ethnicity issues in towns and cities across the state.
