POSITION SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager, Communications is responsible for developing and executing communication strategies across PR, Social and Marketing in support of a multi-prong national campaign initiative being led by AFSP’s Programs team. With the support of a multi-year grant, this initiative will reach the construction industry broadly, specifically construction workers with mental health and suicide prevention education and postvention.
This role will lead the day-to-day efforts to promote the initiative (and campaign) working closely with the Programs Operations team to create, manage and promote education resources, training and offerings. This will include creating compelling content, managing social media presence, coordinating marketing campaign efforts, and ensuring consistent messaging to target audiences, often collaborating with different teams to achieve organizational goals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
Experience 5+ years’ relevant professional experience in marketing and/or communications field, campaign implementation and execution, ideally with a mix of digital and traditional marketing expertise
Licenses/Certificates N/A
Technology/Equipment Expert user of Microsoft Office Suite, and SharePoint, Adobe Design Suite; Proficiency in project management software
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Master’s degree in Strategic Communications
Experience and/or Training 5+ years’ relevant professional experience in marketing and/or communications field, campaign implementation and execution, ideally with a mix of digital and traditional marketing expertise
