For more than twenty years, Building Impact (BI) has partnered with companies to strengthen communities through volunteering with local nonprofit organizations. Our mission is to strengthen communities by empowering individuals and companies with the opportunity to volunteer, donate, and connect with high impact, local nonprofits working on critical social issues. In 2023, we worked with more than 43 companies, and engaged more than 12,000 volunteers resulting in $2.4 million total contribution in support of nonprofit organizations and communities across the United States.
The Opportunity:
Building Impact is currently searching for a dynamic and strategically-minded Vice President, Business Partnerships and Growth to lead and manage Building Impact’s sales and business development function. This person is accountable for engaging corporate partners of all sizes through meaningful employee engagement and volunteering while driving social impact in their respective communities and across social priorities.
The Vice President, Business Partnerships and Growth will play a key role in developing a business development strategy while simultaneously building relationships and leading Building Impact’s growth for large scale corporate and commercial real estate partners interested in employee community engagement and volunteerism. They will work in collaboration with other departments to develop relationships, create proposals for new work, close deals for one-time, quarterly and/or annual contracts, and secure renewals with existing corporate clients. The Vice President, Business Partnerships and Growth is a member of the Leadership Team and is accountable for all inbound and outbound business development, account management, and partnership development activities at Building Impact. They will also work in partnership with the CEO and the Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships to develop overall business growth strategy for Building Impact.
Key Responsibilities:
The Vice President, Business Partnerships and Growth is expected to be present in-person meeting with clients or in our office located in Boston’s Financial District a minimum of 2-3 days per week and will be responsible for the following:
Sales and Business Development (60%)
Account and Partnership Management (20%)
Leadership Presence (20%)

The Vice President, Business Partnerships and Growth will have a proven record of leadership and success in establishing and growing customer relationships, managing team members, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion for service.
