With Mapping Community Solutions, Friends of Herring Run Parks (FHRP) will build community awareness and involvement, connect residents with local and regional resources, and bring all stakeholders together to map out durable solutions to the decades of disinvestment that is destroying critical watershed habitats and effectively excluding residents from engaging in free, accessible outdoor recreation and education. This map will include not only a community vision for the park, but also an actionable list of what needs to be done to get there.

    • Coordinate and promote planning activities with community residents and partners through in-person, on the ground outreach, as well as electronic media, and social media networks.
    • Assemble and lead community outreach team

    • Conduct follow up activities with community residents including emails, texts, and letters.
    • Maintain partner list with contact information and update as needed.
    • Work with the project manager to compile data reports as needed.
    • Develop promotional materials for planning and educational events.
