    Job Summary

    Reporting to the Executive Director, the Social Services Solutions Manager provides case management and administrative services for the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Emergency Financial Assistance Programs. These services include services designed to work with individual SAG-AFTRA members, couples, and families to address the myriad of issues faced when working professionally in the Performing Arts and Entertainment Industry.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide brief, financial assistance-focused case management for SAG-AFTRA members of varying ages who are experiencing a crisis (including medical/mental health, domestic violence, housing insecurity, etc). Service can include needs assessment, advocacy for financial assistance through the Foundation, collaborative planning, and/or connection to other entertainment community or social service resources (nationwide)
    • Schedules and meets with SAG-AFTRA members applying for financial assistance via video conference, phone, and in person as needed to gather information about financial circumstances and plan.
    • Provides crisis assessment when needed and mandated reporting (mostly APS) as necessary
    • Connects members to internal Foundation professional development programs such as entertainment career workshops and other services
    • Participates in managing the Salesforce database of applicant and application data
    • Responsible for submitting data for weekly grant disbursements
    • Provides daily and weekly reports to the Executive Director
    • Participates in a daily Assistance Team meeting to develop financial assistance plans for all financial assistance applicants
    • Collaborates with the Financial Assistance Team on program development projects
    • Manages and updates the public-facing database of local and nationwide resources for additional avenues of support
    • Collaborates with partnering entertainment community financial assistance organizations
    • Develop relationships and partnerships with new social service organizations when possible
    • Maintains all paperwork and statistics pertinent to the program, ensuring the confidentiality of all information

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Case Management or Social Work
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in providing case management services
    • Able to consistently convey a sense of empathy with SAG-AFTRA members and demonstrate solid acumen
    • Must have the willingness and drive to create and engage in a safe and stimulating working environment
    • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills required
    • Advanced computer and reporting skills; PC, G-Suite, MS Office
    • Knowledge of Salesforce a plus
    • Proven ability in assembling, compiling, analyzing, and summarizing data
    • Able to work independently and effectively in a high-profile, fast-paced organization with diplomacy and tact
    • High organization and attention to detail are critical for this position
    • May be required to work an adjusted schedule, including evening or weekend hours
    • Experience working with Performing Arts and Entertainment Industry population preferred

    Compensation

    $68, 640 annual salary. Benefits include a 401K retirement plan, escalating vacation, paid sick, personal days, and holidays, and employee health benefits, including medical, dental, vision, flex spending accounts, employee assistance programs, and life and long-term disability insurance.
