    Administrative Assistant

    Housing Partnership Development Corporation – New York City, NY Position Overview The NYC Housing Partnership (www.housingpartnership.com), a leading affordable housing nonprofit in New York City, is seeking an administrative assistant to provide general administrative support to the marketing/compliance department. S/he will facilitate the marketing, lottery compliance, and tenant selection activities of affordable housing units in the organization's portfolio.

    Responsibilities

    • Be the point of contact for inquiries from the general public and provide relevant program information over phone or email
    • Field and direct phone calls, emails, mailings, faxes of applicants to marketing managers / specialists
    • Save Word, PDF, and JPEG documents
    • Prepare initial and follow-up email and mailings to applicants
    • Data entry updating tracking spreadsheets
    • Facilitate in obtaining required third party documents for housing applications
    • Assist in housing lotteries and other tasks as assigned
    • Additional position related responsibilities as assigned/ needed

    Qualifications

    • Professional, calm, courteous demeanor and excellent communicator
    • Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative and work ethic
    • High level of attention to detail
    • Excellent word processing abilities and writing skills (i.e. prepare/review documents with correct grammar, spelling and presentation)
    • Ability to complete work well with limited supervision and under pressure
    • Excellent organizational, and multi-tasking skills; Ability to manage work load and meet multiple deadlines
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows operating system, Word, Excel and Outlook programs
    • BA / Associate Degree preferred
    • Bi-lingual in Spanish a plus but not required
    • Notary public a plus
    • Authorization to work in the U.S. required

    NYC Housing Partnership offers a variety of benefits that includes, medical, dental, vision insurance, company paid Life Insurance and disability insurance, professional development assistance, 401k retirement plan that matches up to 6%, access to flexible spending and pre-tax commuter benefits.

    Full-time regular employees are also provided with Ten (10) vacation days, six (6) personal days, and paid sick time.
