    About Us:

For over 100 years, Girl Scouting has helped girls develop the skills and confidence they need to blossom into their best selves. From our earliest badges in electricity, aeronautics, and natural sciences to today’s all girl robotics teams and cookie entrepreneurs, girls have challenged themselves through our skill-building opportunities, worked with inspiring role models and developed lifelong friendships.

At Girl Scouts of Alaska, we are dedicated to building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place. Our mission is to empower girls through leadership experiences, skill-building opportunities, and community involvement. As part of our dynamic and passionate team, you will join a group of individuals who are committed to ensuring that girls across Alaska have the opportunities and support they need to thrive.

Under the guidance of the Director of Membership and Customer Care and the Chief Operating Officer, the Membership Specialist develops and implements strategies for recruitment, retention, Service Unit building and support of our volunteers. You are the primary point of contact for volunteers and Service Units throughout your assigned areas. You are responsible for fostering a supportive volunteer community, forming new troops and recruiting new families as members and volunteers; and empowering volunteers to thrive in their roles to deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience (GSLE). You will work cross-departmentally to increase member retention and renewal rates, Net Promotor Scores, and volunteer satisfaction scores. Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring volunteer training through gsLearn, and welcome new volunteers with initial onboarding training.

At Girl Scouts of Alaska we offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being, and financial security. Our benefits include:

    • Generous Paid Time Off (PTO): Recharge and relax with ample PTO to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
    • Holidays: Enjoy 11 paid holidays throughout the year, and paid holiday year-end office closure
    • Work from Home: Work from home one day per week
    • Health Coverage: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance to keep you and your family healthy.
    • Financial Security: Long-term disability (LTD) and life insurance to protect your future.
    • Retirement Savings: A 403(b) retirement plan with employer match to help you plan for your retirement.
    • Family friendly environment
