OGT is seeking an experienced Development & Communications Manager to support and enhance donor engagement, communications, and other administrative tasks for our small nonprofit.

This part-time, fully remote position is ideal for a purpose-driven communicator who enjoys building relationships, creating systems, organizing information, and wearing multiple hats. This team member will craft tailored donor communications such as newsletters, social media posts, and emails, and will support general communications to ensure broad and clear distribution of information about services and programs. This role will assist with grant management, including preparing and proofreading proposals and compiling program or financial data needed for grant applications and reports. Lastly, the Manager will provide administrative support to the executive team to ensure smooth organizational operations.

This role will work closely with the Executive Director (ED) and Associate Executive Director (AED) as part of a collaborative and dynamic team.

    • Plan and implement digital fundraising campaigns; maintain donor engagement calendar.
    • Develop, document, and continually enhance systems and procedures related to donor relations.
    • Track and manage the donor database.
    • Send timely, personalized donation acknowledgements.
    • Assist with donor research and grant writing.

    Communications (40%)

    • Create content and manage OGT’s communication platforms including email newsletters, blog, and social media (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) in collaboration with the programs team.
    • Coordinate and draft the organization’s annual report.
    • Maintain nonprofit profiles (e.g., GreatNonprofits, GuideStar, etc.).
    • Update website content to reflect current programs, teams, and goals.

    Administrative Support (20%)

    • Track and report monthly expenses; compile financial info for grant or board reporting.
    • Support hiring processes (e.g., job postings and announcements).
    • Manage accounts for OGT’s digital tools (e.g., Zoom, Google Workspace).
    • Monitor administrative email and assist with timely responses.
    • Assist with coordinating team travel logistics as needed.
    • Assist ED with scheduling, email correspondence, note-taking, and general technological support as needed.

    COMPENSATION & HOURS

    • Hourly pay range: $23 - $26/hour based on experience.
    • Flexible Schedule: This is a remote position for up to 15 hours per week. Working hours can be sculpted to the candidate’s schedule as long as weekly meetings are attended, tasks are completed on deadline, and communications are sent within standard business hours.

This part-time position can be structured based on the candidate’s preference as either a W-2 hourly employee or a 1099 independent contractor to best support the right candidate’s needs and working style.

    DURATION

This position is grant funded through December 31, 2025. Continuation is dependent upon availability of funds, employee performance, and the value of the working relationship.
