We are a dynamic, progressive, not-for-profit law firm seeking a Utility Accounting/Data Analysis Assistant to focus on utility consumer protection issues, particularly as they pertain to the interests of low-income and fixed-income residential utility customers. The ideal candidate will have superior data analysis and writing skills and the ability to achieve team-related outcomes from a remote work environment. This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate wherein they will have the opportunity to work with and learn from a seasoned veteran of the field with the potential for advancement to executive level in the future.
Duties will include:
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or computer science-related area of study.
Required skills
A knowledge of utility regulation (energy, telecom, and/or water) and familiarity with utility rates and finances are pluses.
The position is currently remote/hybrid, so attendant discipline and time management skills are required. The position may become office-based at any time in the future, or for interim periods as needed. Staff may occasionally be required to travel or work in an office setting based on specific project needs.
A generous benefits package includes health and dental insurance, employer-funded retirement account, standard federal/state vacation days and time off. Annual salary will fall within the range of $55K - $80K annually and will be determined based upon experience.
