Job Title: Intake Reviewer

Department: Childcare Services Reports to Resource & Referral Coordinator

Job Summary: As an Intake Reviewer at the Urban League of Hudson County (ULOHC), you play a pivotal role in the Childcare Assistance process. You are responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of client applications for financial assistance to support childcare costs. Your role involves meticulously reviewing applications for completeness, communicating with clients regarding missing documents, providing technical assistance and resources, and entering data into designated systems. You will work closely with eligibility specialists to facilitate the creation of childcare agreements and maintain comprehensive documentation by established policies and procedures.

Intake Reviewer Responsibilities

Review and screen all applications for completeness within 10-days of receipt

Send incomplete letter/email with list of missing documents within the 10-day review period ---

Incomplete notice must contain DUE date

log with date application is forwarded to Application Processor

Maintain open lines of communication with applicant regarding application status

Provide Technical assistance as needed

Provided Resources as needed

Respond to all applicant calls or emails and provide general program information

Responsible for updating Work Life Systems with new applicant information

Responsible for updating Initial Application Log

Forward Complete application to Application Processor for a Final Review of Eligibility and Processing

Update log with date application is forwarded to Application Processor

• Attending training and professional development as needed.

Providing quality customer services to clients and providers.

• Coordinating, preparing, and distributing appropriate communications to parents and providers.
• Maintaining, securing, and safeguarding confidential information.
• Providing other related duties as requested, assigned, or directed.

Skills Required:

Ability to enter data with a high degree of speed and accuracy.

Strong Attention to detail

Strong organizational skills

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Ability to meet productivity standards within established timelines.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and Outlook

Ability to lift to 25 pounds

Education Requirements: High School Diploma, Certifications, or higher degree welcome

2 years of clerical experience

Hours of operation: Monday -Friday 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.English
