SUMMARY
ITPC Global is seeking to contract the professional services of an HR Management consultant to provide ongoing HR support to ITPC Global.
BACKGROUND
The International Treatment Preparedness Coalition (ITPC) is a global coalition of PLHIV and community activists working to achieve universal access to optimal HIV, HCV and TB treatment of those in need. Formed in 2003 by a group of 125 HIV activists from 65 countries at a meeting in Cape Town, ITPC actively advocates for treatment access in eight regions across the globe. ITPC believes that the fight for treatment remains one of the most significant global social justice issues.
SCOPE OF WORK
Anticipated support includes:
o Revise as needed, including finalizing key performance indicators, where missing
o Develop new job descriptions, as necessary
o Review and if needed, redesign the probation process
o Develop an end-to-end annual performance review process including creating new or
improved templates and policies as necessary
o Facilitate training for senior leadership team, managers and staff
o Design recruiting, selection and orientation programs for new staff including salary
negotiations
o Provide support to managers in implementing such programs
o Review current and historical ITPC remuneration framework in the context of the 2020
benchmark study and recommend changes to be implemented in near term, mid-term
and longer-term periods given ITPC’s mission and resources
This includes but is not limited to salary scale and range, benefits, allowances,
criteria for awarding a possible bonus, annual increment, and promotion in relation
to industry standards
o Serve as the holder of all ITPC policies
Ensure that all ITPC policies are developed, updated, are in good order, complaint to
local labour laws and international best practices (relying on subject matter experts as
is appropriate)
o Act as the subject matter expert on ITPC human resources policies
Review, consolidate and revise as needed
o Provide support for administration of policies and procedures and to support managers,
monitor and ensure compliance with local labour laws and international standards
o Give input to ITPC’s Senior Leadership Team as needed especially as it relates to strategic
input, culture building, training and development
o Support the ED on all people-matters as needed for reporting to Board
o Support the Board as needed to develop ED performance management process
