Position Overview
In this role, the Education & Equity Coordinator must blend educational expertise, industry knowledge, and a strong commitment to advancing equity and inclusion in the construction trades. This person plays a pivotal role in preparing women for long-term careers and transforming the culture of the construction industry through Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging (DEIB)-focused initiatives.
The Education & Equity Coordinator will focus heavily on helping NEW graduates be successful in entering and advancing in their professional construction careers. The responsibilities span curriculum development, classroom instruction, student support, employer collaboration, and DEIB training facilitation. This position will work across all functions of the employment department and in collaboration with other program staff to conduct in-class instruction of pre-apprentices, develop pre-apprenticeship curriculum, facilitate skill advancement curriculum and curated education opportunities for alumna, provide supportive services to students and graduates, and work with registered apprenticeships, employer contractors, and other industry partners to provide diversity, equity, and inclusion opportunities.
This person will create input and retrieve training data; promote and fill scheduled DEIA training classes; verify and keep track of certificates for distribution; and maintain and update graduate profiles within an Internal Database System.

A background in education and diversity work is highly sought after. The candidate will also need to possess the ability to take initiative, work independently, prioritize responsibilities and meet tight deadlines.

Salary: Range $48,000 - $60,000 per year
