Who We're Looking For:
Senior Accounting Associate
Location: Alexandria, VA (Hybrid Work Schedule)
Type: Full-Time | Exempt | Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Reports to: Controller

We’re looking for a Senior Accounting Associate to play a key role in our Finance department. This role offers the opportunity to manage both accounts payable and receivable functions, contribute to monthly closings and annual audits, and support cross-departmental projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage invoice processing, check runs, wire transfers, and vendor records
- Monitor and reconcile expense reports and credit card activity
- Handle cash receipts, deposits, and bank transaction entries
- Prepare and review 1099/1096 forms and membership revenue reports
- Support monthly closing, annual audit, and budget preparation
- Collaborate with internal teams and perform special projects as needed
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Non-profit bookkeeping experience preferred
- Strong grasp of GAAP and attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Pn3 a plus
- Excel and Word proficiency; experience with database systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Self-starter with a team-focused mindset
