    The Position

    Under the direction and supervision of the Director of Communications and Digital Operations, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator supports social media efforts across all of the organization’s social media platforms, including but not limited to content creation, social media campaigns, digital marketing, and tracking social media analytics. This position is also responsible for updating and editing the organization’s website. The Marketing and Communications Coordinator will also provide support in composing and editing the production of a full range of material (online and print) to effectively support the advancement goals of the organization and to convey the organizations mission to diverse constituencies. This position regularly supports the fund raising, programs/events and constituency development efforts of the organization. Travel is expected and required.

    DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    • Support the development and implementation of social media strategy that aligns with the organization’s branding and goals.
    • Design and create online content including social media, e-newsletters, brochures, and promotional emails.
    • Post content to relevant platforms and maintain a posting calendar – to include organization events, awareness months/days.
    • Interact with social media followers and encourage audience engagement.
    • Track and provide monthly reports on social media analytics (engagement, reach, followers, etc).
    • Keep abreast of the latest social media best practices and technologies as well as creativity and coordination across multiple social media platforms.
    • Understand search engine optimization (SEO) strategies.
    • Track and provide reports on the performance of marketing campaigns.
    • Adhere to all organizational brand usage guidelines, including development brand guidelines and templates.
    • Review content for organization’s public-facing website, update and refresh content on a regular basis.
    • Maintain organization’s photo and video library.
    • Identify stakeholders and target audiences for potential engagement.
    • Support the maintenance of organization’s reporter/media list.
    • Work collaboratively with team members within the guidelines of the organization’s National Strategy.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

    Bachelor’s degree and at least two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS

    Proficient in speaking and reading English. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, or technical procedures. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    REASONING ABILITY

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Compensación

    • Eligible employees (as determined by the terms of the plan) may participate in the American Association of Kidney Patients, Inc 401(k) plan after 3 months of employment.
    • American Association of Kidney Patients, Inc offers life insurance to all regular full-time employees who have completed 90 days of employment with the Company.
