New Jersey Consortium for Immigrant Children

The New Jersey Consortium for Immigrant Children (NJCIC) is seeking volunteer translators that are passionate about resource-sharing and supporting immigrant communities in New Jersey. Volunteers will be responsible for translating necessary documents in non-English language(s), as determined by NJCIC.

    About NJCIC

NJCIC is a state-wide legal services and policy advocacy organization dedicated to empowering young immigrants. We provide holistic, youth-centered legal representation, drive systemic change to advance immigrant rights, and build community through collaboration and education. We envision a just and equitable NJ where young immigrants can flourish and lead full, fearless lives. NJCIC seeks lawful status for immigrant youth and advocates for system-wide change in the areas of education, access to justice, and health equity. We empower immigrant youth and families by conducting Know Your Rights sessions and developing youth-oriented educational materials.

    • Prior translation experience preferred
    • Excellent written communication skills
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
    • Ability to work independently on projects

Volunteers will be accepted on a rolling basis and will be asked to sign a Volunteer Agreement at the initiation of their service.
