    Description

🐺 About Cavalli’s Husky and Wolfdog Rescue

Cavalli’s is a newly launched, PACFA-licensed 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to saving and rehabilitating Huskies and Wolfdogs—two breeds that are highly intelligent, independent, and frequently misunderstood in traditional shelter systems.

We’re a foster-based rescue operating from private property in Southern Colorado, with a grassroots, heart-led approach focused on doing things the right way—even if that means growing slowly. From containment to adoption, everything we do is designed with breed-specific care, safety, and long-term success in mind.

We are currently in the infrastructure phase and seeking mission-aligned, hands-on founding board members to help guide our development.

šŸ¤ About the Vice President Role

The Vice President will work closely with the Founder/President and play an active role in helping shape the structure, strategy, and early partnerships of the rescue.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage, mission-driven environments and wants to be part of building something meaningful from the ground up.

    šŸ’¼ Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with the Founder to develop and guide the rescue’s strategic direction
    • Assist in setting up organizational systems, policies, and board governance practices
    • Support decision-making around growth, partnerships, and long-term planning
    • Attend quarterly board meetings and assist in ad-hoc planning as needed
    • (Optional) Support with community engagement, local networking, or advocacy

    āœ… Ideal Candidate:

    • Based in Colorado, or highly familiar with rescue or nonprofit operations in the state
    • Experienced in leadership, animal welfare, nonprofit operations, or community engagement
    • Understands or is eager to learn about the unique needs of Huskies and Wolfdogs—including behavior, training, adoption challenges, and public perception
    • Has ~2–4 hours/month to contribute and is comfortable with virtual board meetings
    • Bonus: Startup nonprofit experience, rescue work, or operational strategy background

    šŸ“¬ To Apply:

Please email info@cavallisrescue.org with a brief introduction about yourself, your background, and what draws you to this mission. No resume required—just an honest connection to the work and a willingness to build something real.
