Job Overview
The Volunteer and Distribution Chair is responsible for coordinating volunteer efforts and managing the distribution of resources for Kids In Diapers. Key Responsibilities
Volunteer Coordination
Recruitment and Training:
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers to support the organization’s activities and events.
- Develop and implement volunteer orientation and training programs.
- Maintain a database of volunteers, tracking their availability, skills, and participation.
Volunteer Management:
- Schedule and coordinate volunteer activities, ensuring adequate coverage for events and distribution efforts.
- Communicate regularly with volunteers, providing updates, instructions, and support.
- Recognize and appreciate volunteer contributions through various recognition programs.
Distribution Management
Logistics and Planning:
- Oversee the logistics of diaper distribution, including receiving, storing, and inventorying donations.
- Plan and coordinate distribution events, ensuring efficient and equitable distribution of resources to families in need.
- Maintain records of distribution activities, including the number of items distributed and the recipients.
Collaboration and Partnerships:
- Work with local organizations, shelters, and community groups to identify families in need and
coordinate distribution efforts.
- Develop and maintain relationships with partner organizations and distribution sites.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines for distribution activities.
Program Development and Improvement
Policy and Procedure Development:
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for volunteer and distribution activities.
- Continuously evaluate and improve volunteer and distribution programs to enhance efficiency and impact.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Prepare reports on volunteer and distribution activities for the Executive Director and Board of Directors.
- Document best practices and lessons learned to inform future activities.
