    Role Description:

    We are seeking a passionate and highly organized Director of Volunteer Services to lead our volunteer engagement efforts in San Diego and remotely. This volunteer leadership position offers flexibility with remote work options and periodic in-person engagements in the San Diego area. The Director of Volunteer Services will be responsible for designing and overseeing volunteer recruitment, onboarding, engagement, and retention strategies to support the mission and growth of Ineffable Films.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Volunteer Program Design: Develop and implement volunteer programs that align with organizational goals and support ongoing initiatives.
    • Recruitment & Outreach: Identify volunteer needs across departments and lead targeted recruitment efforts across the San Diego area and online.
    • Onboarding & Training: Design orientation processes, training materials, and support systems to onboard volunteers effectively.
    • Engagement & Retention: Cultivate a strong volunteer culture through regular communication, appreciation efforts, and opportunities for leadership and growth.
    • Collaboration: Work closely with regional and remote teams to coordinate volunteer efforts, share updates, and align priorities.
    • Evaluation & Feedback: Track participation, gather feedback, and use data to refine and improve volunteer services and overall engagement.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Nonprofit Management, Organizational Leadership, or a related field is preferred.
    • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience managing volunteers or leading community engagement programs, preferably in a nonprofit or arts organization.
    • Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire and coordinate diverse teams of volunteers and interns with clarity, compassion, and creativity.
    • Organizational Skills: Strong project management skills with attention to detail and the ability to juggle multiple responsibilities.
    • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
    • Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital platforms like Google Workspace, volunteer management tools, CRM systems, and virtual communication platforms.
    • Passion for the Mission: Deep interest in film, youth empowerment, and social justice through storytelling.
