  • About Us

The North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council is an action-oriented environmental nonprofit that is contributing to one of the leading solutions to climate change. Traditional HFC refrigerants have been identified as the fastest-growing source of greenhouse gas emissions globally and could contribute to a rise in global temperatures up to 0.5°C by 2100 if left unchecked. NASRC is working in partnership with the supermarket industry and environmental stakeholders to reduce greenhouse gas emissions caused by traditional refrigerants by advancing climate-friendly natural refrigerants. Together, we are implementing solutions to overcome the barriers preventing the widespread adoption of natural refrigerants to make them a feasible business choice for supermarkets.
