    Description

    About the Position:

The F-Gas Reduction Incentive Program (FRIP) is a California Air Resources Board (CARB) program aimed at reducing hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) emissions by accelerating the adoption of ultra-low-global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants. The program focuses on providing funding and technical support to commercial and industrial refrigeration facilities transitioning to climate-friendly refrigerant technologies.

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator to join our team and support the administration of the FRIP program. This role is critical in ensuring the smooth implementation and management of this important environmental initiative.

    About the NASRC:

The North American Sustainable Refrigeration Council (NASRC) is a 501(c)(3) environmental nonprofit working to advance climate-friendly natural refrigerants and reduce greenhouse gas emissions caused by traditional hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) refrigerants. HFCs are super-polluting greenhouse gases commonly used in supermarket refrigeration and are one of the most potent drivers of climate change. Natural refrigerants are the most climate-friendly solution, but a unique set of market barriers have prevented their widespread adoption in U.S. supermarkets.

NASRC collaborates with stakeholders from across the industry, including over 55,000 food retail locations, to accelerate the adoption of natural refrigerants in supermarkets and advance one of the leading climate solutions. For more information about NASRC, visit nasrc.org, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

      • Track project progress and ensure timely submission of reports and updates.
    • Coordination & Communication:
      • Serve as the liaison between FRIP stakeholders, including applicants, technical grantees, and CARB representatives.
      • Facilitate communication between team members to ensure alignment on project goals.
      • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take detailed minutes, and follow up on action items.
    • Program Monitoring:
      • Oversee application review processes to ensure compliance with FRIP eligibility requirements.
      • Track project budgets, incentive disbursements, and key performance metrics.
      • Monitor risks or delays in project implementation and recommend corrective actions.
    • Outreach & Education:
      • Assist in implementing outreach campaigns targeting small businesses and priority communities.
      • Support the creation of educational materials such as presentations, flyers, and toolkits for program participants.
