About Us
The Pericarditis Alliance is an all volunteer-led nonprofit created in 2020 to address the challenges associated with treatment of complex pericarditis cases. The PA was founded by a patient and her doctor. There are 2 patient members of the PA Board of Directors, and there are 5 of the preeminent doctors in the world who treat pericardial disease on the PA board as well. This organization supports patients, who often feel dismissed and under treated, as well as spreads awareness to the medical community that often is not familiar with effective treatment of complex pericarditis cases. Our values include passion, respect healing and inclusion.
