Formerly the YWCA of Hudson County, WomenRising is a non-profit organization, has been working to improve the quality of life for women and their families throughout Hudson County since 1905, and is the county's foremost social service and advocacy organization for women. An organization governed and managed by women - WomenRising, Inc. assists women and their families to achieve self-sufficiency and live safe, fulfilling and productive lives, by providing them with access to education, training, work experience, counseling, shelter, advocacy, child care, and training.
