Tualatin Together

Tualatin Together was originally created by a group of concerned parents in 1990. Tualatin High School had just opened and there was a notable increase in the awareness of substance abuse amongst the youth in the community. As a drug-free community coalition, Tualatin Together formed formal collaborative arrangements among groups and organizations within the community to prevent and reduce youth substance use, including prescription drug abuse and tobacco use, within the community. Tualatin Together’s core purpose is to strengthen our community by offering education, resources, support, and networking, all while actively fostering protective factors to prevent youth substance misuse.

Tualatin Together empowers our community to build resilience by providing research based substance misuse prevention services. We champion positive mental health practices and provide access to tools, education and resources to promote positive health outcomes.

Tualatin Together’s work is focused on creating connections for youth and adults to ensure they have the skills and resources they need to live their best lives. We accomplish this in many ways including supporting youth and a Latino Coalition who focus on empowering themselves and those around them to understand the harms of youth substance misuse. We also provide programs in the community such as Dressed To Dream, Safety Town Tualatin and PumpkinPalooza that all provide an added protective factor for our kids as they navigate Kindergarten through the high school years.
