Currently run entirely by passionate volunteers, the Conservancy has built a strong foundation for conservation and education efforts in this economically diverse peninsula on Long Island's East end. We partner with local community groups and municipalities to combat the effects of climate change and sea-level rise while working toward our goal of establishing a publicly-accessible waterfront parkland consisting of blue and green trails along the area's nearly seven miles of shore. Education is also a key focus, and we work with local schools and educators to teach and train youth about ecology of the area and sustainable aquaculture practices.
