    The Structural Engineers Association of Metropolitan Washington is a local chapter of a national organization, the National Council of Structural Engineers Associations, that supports practicing structural engineers to be highly qualified professionals and successful leaders. SEA-MW has firm-based membership comprised of approximately 70 member firms and affiliates from the DC metro area. SEA-MW hosts professional development, business practices, and technical sessions, an annual awards gala, and events by various committees. The group also sponsors an annual Diversity in Structural Engineering Scholarship, volunteers with Rebuilding Together, and participates in national events hosted by NCSEA including attending the NCSEA Summit.
