The Institute’s mission is to create dynamic bridges of goodness based on timeless Buddhist principles and teachings for the benefit of humanity. We accomplish this through four pillars of activity: nourishing the Roots, advancing Study, supporting Transmission, and promoting Collaboration.
SINI is an international Buddhist educational institute based in Sarnath and dedicated to bridging the traditions and innovations of the East and West through innovative, interdisciplinary, and international programs. Founded in 2013, SINI bridges the gap between monastics and laypeople with a hybrid approach that integrates traditional and contemporary aspects of life and learning. Our comprehensive language program for monastics, English for Dharma Purposes, provides cutting-edge tools and world-class learning. We offer a range of international programs for lay persons, including Tibetan language programs and the annual Four Noble Truths Seminar. SINI fulfills a unique role as an international, cross-cultural nexus, making the Dharma accessible to a global audience. Our partnerships allow students to participate in exchange programs, research projects, and other educational activities.
