    About Us

OGT partners with community-based organizations to address gaps in medical knowledge by teaching nurses, community health workers, educators and local leaders who are eager to learn. Training topics include noncommunicable disease awareness, malnutrition response, birth control, the fertility cycle, and menstrual pain management, teen pregnancy and maternal conditions, and wound and burn care.

To date, OGT has conducted 70 projects in 11 countries across 4 continents; provided over 700 health care workers with practical, sustainable medical education; and treated over 36,000 patients alongside local providers.

Since 2023, OGT has focused on developing and expanding its School Health Officer Training Program in Kenya which provides essential health education to teachers. The program has received enthusiastic support from the 280 trained School Health Officers (SHOs) spread across 90 schools. All SHOs have successfully implemented their own school health programs, expanding access to basic health services and education for their school communities. The project is poised to expand into a large-scale school-based health training model for teachers across Kenya.
