For over 30 years, Horton’s Kids has empowered children growing up in Southeast DC’s most under-resourced neighborhoods. We support the physical, educational, and social-emotional development of over 600 PreK - 12 grade students and their families annually so that they graduate from high school ready for success in college, career, and life. Our holistic, multi-generational approach provides comprehensive programs and services for the children as well as their parents and caregivers—targeting economic assets including housing, job readiness, and health and well-being to promote each individual child’s success.
Horton’s Kids provides support and services to children close to home. From our earliest years on basketball courts and picnic tables, to establishing Community Resource Centers within the housing developments we serve, we are committed to creating safe places for children to learn and thrive.
