    Horton's Kids operates three Community Resource Centers, each playing a vital role in our mission. At the heart of our operations is Horton's Kids Community Resource Hub or “Horton's Hub”, serving as our largest location and headquarters. This multifunctional space serves as both our administrative offices and the central hub for our programming and distribution efforts.

    Job Summary:

    Horton's Kids is seeking a dedicated and dynamic full-time Corporate Partnerships Manager to enhance our Development & Communications team. The Corporate Partnership Manager plays a crucial role on the Development & Communications team and is responsible for crafting, executing, and managing strategies to secure, retain, and grow funding from corporate partners. The Manager will work closely with the Chief Development Officer and other team members to achieve fundraising targets and contribute to the organization's mission.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Corporate Non-Event Fundraising

    • Develop and implement strategy for achieving annual revenue goal through:
      • Regular stewardship touchpoints with the organization’s active corporate donors to communicate engagement opportunities and the impact of their support
      • Identify Corporate Donors who have potential to give $15k-$100k+ annually and become part of the Corporate Changemakers giving program.
      • Research prospective companies who have funding interests that align with Horton’s Kids' mission and programs.
      • Submit funding proposals to new and existing corporate donors.
      • Utilize the Chief Development Officer and Chief Executive Officer to support with cultivating relationships among corporate donors.
    • Lead the Corporate Leadership Council to identify ways to strengthen Horton’s Kids Corporate fundraising efforts by planning quarterly meetings and leveraging connections of Council Members.
    • Use Raiser’s Edge Donor Database to track cultivation touchpoints and accurately record cash flow
    • Use iWave to evaluate the giving potential of prospective corporate donors.
    • Collaborate with the Volunteer and Partnerships Coordinator to use corporate donors as recruitment bases for episodic and long-term volunteer opportunities.
    • Support Development and Communication Coordinator along with Senior Director of Individual Giving with Horton’s Kids involvement in various Workplace Giving Programs
      • CFC application and attendance at CFC events
      • Messages sent to World Bank and IMF Employees during their year-end giving campaigns.
      • Learning about how corporate donors facilitate workplace giving and corporate matches.

    Corporate Event Fundraising

      • Develop and Implement Strategy for achieving Corporate Event Fundraising Goal across Horton’s Kids two signature events – Give Thanks & Give Back and Home Runs for Horton’s Kids.
      • Manage the fundraising strategy for Horton’s Kids portfolio of Home Runs for Horton’s Kids sponsors.
      • Oversee Home Runs for Horton’s Kids Fundraising Committee’s efforts by hosting regular meetings, providing solicitation resources, and setting the pace of fundraising to achieve the event’s goal.
        • Identify new Home Runs for Horton’s Kids committee members annually to continue to build a robust pipeline of prospective sponsors.
      • Provide regular fundraising progress updates to Chief Development Officer and Chief Executive Officer along with the Home Runs for Horton’s Kids Fundraising Committee.
      • Grow the number of corporate sponsors of Give Thanks & Give Back.
      • Collaborate with Event Production Contractors and fellow Development Team members to provide high-quality event experiences with donors in mind:
      • Develop and Implement ticket strategy for Home Runs for Horton’s Kids
      • Develop and implement night of giving strategy for Home Runs for Horton’s Kids
      • Assist Development and Communications Coordinator:
        • Design clear and compelling Home Runs for Horton’s Kids webpage
        • Design event communications pieces (sponsorship packet, email marketing messages, social media posts)
        • Execute guest registration and benefits fulfillment process

    In-Kind Giving Program

      • Manage a robust annual calendar of in-kind donation solicitations for:
      • Family Essential Kits
      • Halloween Costumes
      • Winter Clothing
      • Thanksgiving Food
      • Holiday Gifts
      • School Supplies
      • Manage solicitations for Give Thanks & Give Back silent auction donations
      • Identify Corporate Prospects to fulfill in-kind needs.
      • Collaborate with the Development and Communications Coordinator to design and implement collateral and e-campaign strategies for in-kind donations.
      • Represent Horton’s Kids at on-site Family Essentials Kit Creation events hosted by new and existing corporate donors.
      • Collaborate with Programs Team staff members to identify their need for in-kind donations.
      • Support Development and Communications Coordinator to collect information about in-kind donations secured by other staff members on a regular basis.
      • Support staff in receiving, inventorying, and reporting in-kind donations.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
    • A minimum of 3-4 years of experience in grant writing, institutional fundraising, or related field.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information in a clear, compelling, and concise manner.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the nonprofit sector, particularly in education, social services, or youth development.
    • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders effectively.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Commitment to Horton's Kids' mission and values.
    • Experience using Raiser’s Edge, iWave, Constant Contact (or other email marketing platform), and Canva.

    Remote Work Opportunity

    Currently, Horton’s Kids administrative staff work remotely two days per week. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays are mandatory days in the office at our facility at 2233 Hunter Place SE.
