About Us
The Gender Equality Law Center "GELC") is a 501(c)(3) not for profit law center and advocacy organization. Our mission is to advance laws and policies to combat gender-based discrimination and stereotyping. We believe that all individuals deserve to be treated fairly regardless of their gender, gender identity and/or gender expression. Through a variety of advocacy efforts, GELC seeks to enforce and expand current anti discrimination laws, provide training and support for private and public sector lawyers and advocates and to educate the public about the status and effect of gender discrimination in our society.
