    Jesuit Refugee Service/USA is an international Catholic non-governmental organization whose mission is to accompany, serve and defend the rights of refugees and other forcibly displaced persons.

    A work of the Society of Jesus, commonly known as the “Jesuits," JRS/USA serves individuals in a strict non-proselytizing fashion, regardless of race, ethnic origin, or religious beliefs. JRS is present in more than 50 countries worldwide, meeting the educational, health, and social needs of nearly 637,000 refugees and other forcibly displaced persons, more than half of whom are women.
