    About the role – Executive & Operations Coordinator:

    The Executive & Operations Coordinator enhances organizational efficiency by coordinating all office operations. The person in this position executes day-to-day general administrative and business operations tasks and supports the Executive Director and Senior Director of Finance and Operations.

    Your Responsibilities will include:

    Office and Finance Administration – 65% (26 hours per week)

    • Manage all aspects of AWLs physical office including office equipment, storage rooms, meeting spaces, supplies and mail.
    • Serve as the lead for AWL’s relationships with its administrative and operations vendors.
    • Work with the IT vendor to assist with IT projects and serve as liaison between the IT vendor and staff for IT issues.
    • Maintain database of AWL equipment.
    • Process payment requests ensuring compliance with AWL policies.
    • Process imports and entry of credit card transactions into AWL’s accounting software.
    • Assist with ensuring staff reports are complete and submitted in accordance with AWL policies.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    HR Administrative Support – 10% (4 hours per week)

    • Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes.
    • Assist with logistics for new employee recruiting and interviewing process, including posting job openings, and scheduling interviews.
    • Assist with processing paperwork required for AWL to remain in compliance with relevant city, state and federal regulations.

    Event Logistics – 15% (6 hours per week)

    • Coordinate lodging, food, travel, and logistics for staff retreats and manage overall board operations, including assisting in managing board committees and organizing logistics for board meetings, including ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place.
    • Provide event logistics support for other organizational events, both virtual and in-person.

    Executive Assistant – 10% (4 hours per week)

    • Support the Executive Director in managing their work calendaring, travel logistics, activities that boost team morale, and administrative tasks.
    • Foster a welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

    Who You Are

    • Have a minimum of 3+ years of relevant work experience.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
    • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Cultural competency to work with a diverse range of people.
    • Excellent listening and retention skills.
    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both in writing and verbally.
    • Ability to make proactive, thoughtful decisions regarding the office and operations based on the culture and business priorities.
    • A self-starter, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a team or independently depending on the project.
    • Composure and flexibility adapting to shifting priorities and short turnaround times.
    • Proficiency in a range of software platforms including Microsoft Office.

    The strongest candidates will also have some of the following skills and experience

    • Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar products, or the ability to quickly learn new software platforms.
    • Commitment to Justice, Equity, Diversity Inclusion work.

    Compensation and Location

    The League provides its employees with a competitive compensation package that is benchmarked annually with other nonprofits. The starting salary for this role is between $59,000 and $70,000. The starting salary is based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, skill set level, years of previous/applicable experience.

    This position is located in Washington DC, with the opportunity to work a hybrid schedule. Some travel will be expected (approximately 3 times per year).
