    Description

    The Workforce Trainer position in Grace Institute’s Administrative Professional Programs administers daily curriculum delivery, one-on-one educational assistance, classroom management, curriculum development, and interdepartmental collaboration in support of all the women that Grace Institute serves.

    The successful candidate will have experience in adult education, workforce training, remote and in-person curriculum creation and implementation, and trauma-informed teaching. They will have the ability to deliver curriculum in familiar subjects and also receive training in subjects new to the candidate. They will have proven success in working with diverse populations, workforce-oriented curricula, high-volume class management, and a commitment to Grace Institute’s mission of moving women forward.

    Responsibilities to include (but not limited to):

    • Leading and managing the administrative-based coursework where Grace Institute participants engage in hands-on learning and practice of all core competencies outlined in the curriculum
    • Providing instruction in Microsoft Suite, Gmail, CRM management, and teleconferencing platforms
    • Curriculum competencies include creating, proofreading and formatting documents; managing the information flow across the organization; scheduling and calendaring; ensuring follow up with and engagement with appropriate staff; creating and maintaining electronic and hard-copy files; submitting invoices and credit card statements and ensuring forms are accurate, timely and complete; data entry and integrity checking
    • Working in collaboration with all teaching staff to develop and implement a hybrid learning model that blends remote and in-person learning
    • Providing instruction across all relevant Grace Institute training modules as well as alumnae upskilling courses throughout the year
    • Implement a relational training approach, which includes regular meetings and check-ins with the participants, social workers, and administrative staff
    • Establish and communicate clear learning objectives and agendas for each class
    • Develop written lesson plans and assessment activities
    • Design and conduct engaging participant-centered training and instructional activities including, but not limited to role plays, case studies, projects, and group discussions
    • Consistently track and report on all areas of learner progress, challenge and achievement with subject matter and workplace behaviors including communication, organization and motivation
    • Consistently role model workplace behavior, ethics and Grace Core Values
    • Familiarity with classroom documentation using Salesforce or other similar software

    • Attend staff training and meetings as required
    • Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 2 years of classroom instructional experience preferably in adult education
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience in office administration, healthcare administration, or a similar professional environment
    • As Grace Institute also trains in healthcare administration, candidates who are able to demonstrate expertise in effectively instructing adult learners in the technical, professional, and interpersonal skills needed in the healthcare administration field are preferred
    • Familiarity with workforce-specific training
    • Associate’s degree or higher preferred
