    Description

    The Rural Development Leadership Network (RDLN) is a national, multicultural social change organization that supports community-based development in poor rural parts of the United States through hands-on projects, education, leadership development and networking.

    The Executive Officer-Rural Vision Keeper will assist the organization in transitioning to a new executive director and hopefully assume that role after a three -month transition period. The Executive Officer will assist in transferring files and other records and resources and learn to oversee day-to-day operations as well as manage organizational and program development.

    The ideal candidate will have a vision of thriving, diverse rural U.S. communities, people, and alliances and preferably will have a personal connection with a rural place and/or cause. This person should be adaptable, work well under pressure, and see tasks through completion.

    Responsibilities will include assistance with the following activities:

    Fundraising, communications, record keeping, reporting and documentation;

    Recruitment of new participants,

    Coordinating RDLN’s educational and networking activities,

    Maintaining partnerships with partner organizations

    Identifying and providing resources for participating rural community leaders;

    Internet research; and Grant management
