Role Description
The Operations and HR Manager will oversee the organization’s human resources activities, administrative operations, and employee engagement initiatives. This role focuses on managing the relationship with the PEO, coordinating HR compliance and employee records, organizing staff development programs, and supporting organizational policies. Additionally, the position involves overseeing the building as well as supervising the Facilities Coordinator to ensure building-related tasks are handled effectively.

Health and Dental Insurance – Health and Dental insurance is provided to all regular full-time employees. The BBA pays between 90% and 80% of the premium cost for the default insurance plans with additional options at an additional expense to you. All premium costs will be processed through pre-tax payroll deductions. Further details of the plan, schedule of coverage, and premiums are enclosed.

Life/AD&D, STD, and LTD Insurance – Employee life insurance is provided at no cost to each full-time employee including accidental death & dismemberment coverage. Voluntary Short-Term (STD) and Long-Term (LTD) Disability insurance is available for purchase. Supplemental life insurance coverage for spouse or dependents may be purchased by the employee. 401(k) Plan – The BBA sponsors a 401(k) Plan for all employees through the American Bar Association (ABA) Retirement Funds Program. Immediately upon hire, you may contribute up to the Internal Revenue Code maximum allowable per year. The BBA provides eligible employees with an employer contribution to their 401(k) account through the ABA Retirement Funds Program.
Paid Time Off (PTO)— Exempt employees earn 15 vacation days per year (4.04 hours per pay period). / Non-exempt employees earn 12 vacation days per year (3.24 hours per payroll which is biweekly). Sick leave is earned at 1 hour for every 24 hours worked. The BBA also offers public service leave, parental leave, and bereavement leave.
