    Position Summary

    The Member Engagement & Program Manager is responsible for strengthening relationships with existing members, increasing retention, and ensuring members see clear value in their membership. This role will oversee member engagement programs, including webinars, policy calls, and the annual conference, AnchorNets, while working cross-functionally to enhance member benefits and satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities

    Member Retention & Engagement (40%)

    • Develop and implement a member engagement strategy to boost retention.
    • Conduct outreach, check-ins, and surveys to assess member needs and satisfaction.
    • Act as the primary point of contact for members, providing high-touch support and problem-solving assistance.
    • Track engagement metrics and analyze trends to inform retention efforts.
    • Collaborate with the marketing/communications team to effectively convey membership value.

    Program & Event Management (40%)

    • Plan and execute webinars, policy calls, and AnchorNets sessions, ensuring high-quality content and strong participation.
    • Lead member engagement and contribute to content ideas and speaker coordination for the annual conference.
    • Oversee the development of member-exclusive programs that enhance networking and professional development.
    • Facilitate online communities of practice and policy groups to increase peer-to-peer engagement.

    Membership Administration & Growth (20%)

    • Work with leadership to refine membership tiers, benefits, and recruitment strategies.
    • Maintain accurate member records and engagement data in the association management database.
    • Collaborate with other departments to develop and market new membership benefits.
    • Identify and re-engage lapsed members through personalized outreach.

    Qualifications

    • 3-5 years of experience in membership engagement, program management, or nonprofit association work.
    • Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
    • Experience planning and executing events, webinars, or networking programs.
    • Familiarity with membership databases (AMS, CRM, Salesforce, or similar).
    • Ability to analyze data and develop data-driven engagement strategies.
    • Strong project management and multitasking abilities.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with cause-based marketing and member retention strategies.
    • Knowledge of nonprofit membership structures and best practices.
    • Background in policy, advocacy, or working with mission-driven organizations.
