    About the Role:

    We are seeking a committed and community-rooted Part-Time Youth Organizer to help lead grassroots efforts in West Englewood and nearby neighborhoods located in Chicago. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for youth leadership, deep knowledge of local dynamics, and a drive to help build power and connection among residents and institutions.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Engage and build strong relationships with youth, community members, and local organizations in West Englewood and surrounding areas
    • Support ongoing campaigns and advocacy initiatives focused on local issues
    • Enhance community outreach and communications, both online and in person
    • Help organize and facilitate community meetings, trainings, and strategy sessions
    • Collaborate with staff and local partners to support youth-led initiatives and events
    • Assist in creating flyers, social media content, and other outreach materials

    Qualifications:

    • Familiarity with West Englewood and surrounding South Side communities
    • Experience in youth organizing, community engagement, or grassroots campaigns
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Comfortable facilitating group discussions and engaging with diverse groups
    • Self-motivated, dependable, and collaborative
    • Spanish-speaking is a plus
    • Lived experience in the community is highly valued
