    Position Overview:

    The Development Assistant provides support to the Development Team in pursuit of fundraising goals by maintaining gift and donor data, researching grant opportunities, assisting with grant reports, and supporting donor stewardship. This role requires organization, collaboration with internal and external partners, good communication skills, and a desire to learn and grow.

    Primary Job Functions

    • Supports the management of the CRM/donor database, gift entry and data clean up.
    • Manages check date entry in deposit spreadsheet & CRM/donor database for accurate record keeping.
    • Manages communications and updates with monthly sustaining donors
    • Manages timely and tailored gift acknowledgment process including generating acknowledgement letters/cards and providing information to support phone calls.
    • Supports communications to new and existing donors and communications for special campaigns and stewardship initiatives
    • Manages donor inquiries and communication as needed
      • Runs regular donation reports
    • Manage registration, communication with participants and vendors, and other logistics to support events related to fundraising, stewardship, and donor and volunteer appreciation
    • Supports the Development team with day-to-day duties (calls, print/copy, send/receive documents, assist with special projects, etc.).
    • Other duties as assigned

    Skills/Abilities:

    • Agility and experience with Microsoft 356 including Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, experience with CRM/databases is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Strong project management and organizational skills.
    • Strong time management and an ability to prioritize.

    • Must have strong English communication skills.
    • Bi or multi-lingual in Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole is a plus.

    Structure

    • This is a Full-time position.
    • Schedule will include 40 hours a week with some evening and weekend work required occasionally.
