    Description

    HACIA seeks a passionate, entrepreneurial, and strategic team member to support the organization’s growth and cultivate resources and relationships to advance the organization’s mission. The Director of Development and Fundraising (DoDF) will manage the short and long-term strategy to grow the Organization. Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director (ED), the DoDF will cultivate, solicit and steward six-to seven-figure contributions from philanthropists, foundations, government, and corporations. This person will drive strategy, provide leadership and management of the planning, and execution of fundraising and development for the 501(c)(6) and the 501(c)(3).

    Key Deliverables & Outcomes:

    • Meet fundraising and activity targets
    • Development of communication materials (e.g. pitch materials, reports, request for funding proposals, discussion guides, talking points)
    • Development of fundraising collateral. Ensure the timely creation and distribution of fundraising/stewardship materials and touchpoints (e.g. update emails, newsletters, acknowledgements, etc)
    • Development tools (e.g. customized videos, printed collateral, etc).
    • Create procedures for the effective utilization of Salesforce to track key metrics and produce meaningful data to improve practices and inform decisions.

    • In collaboration with the leadership team, develop and execute HACIA’s multi-year fundraising plan to meet the organization’s goals.
    • Create all content for HACIA and HACIA SEF pitch materials in partnership with the marketing team.
    • Build and manage relationships with prospects and donors through visits, correspondence, and regular communication.
    • Respond to notices of funding opportunities (NOFOs), funding opportunities including developing all content for proposals as needed to secure financial support from government, foundations, and corporations.
    • Track progress towards goals and report revenue data for staff and board of directors to review.
    • Collaborate with the Executive Director and Sr. Director of Innovation and Impact to select and cultivate high-capacity donors including coordinating meetings, preparation and follow-up.
    • Manage and update the development database.
    • Collaborate with Leadership Team on fundraising initiatives and strategies.
    • Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors and funders.
    • Work closely with the Event Manager to plan and organize special events regarding fundraising.
    • Develop and track funding proposals and reports for all government, foundation and corporate fundraising and work with Grants Manager ensure grant compliance.
    • With support from the team, create and lead grant submittal process.
