The Senior Accountant (full-time, non-exempt) ensures the museum’s financial records are accurate and up to date using non-profit, accrual-based accounting practices. This role manages daily transactions, balances accounts, oversees payroll, and handles accounts payable and receivable, with a high level of attention to detail. Producing accurate interim financial statements and balance sheets, the Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining financial controls and collaborates with all departments to uphold best practices. Effective communication skills are essential for interactions ranging from entry-level staff to the President & CEO. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Senior Accountant also supports key projects and demonstrates flexibility with both on-site and remote work arrangements.
