Membership Development Coordinator

The Blue Ridge Bartram Trail Conservancy (BRBTC) is seeking a part-time membership development coordinator for its Franklin, NC office, located in the Macon County Arts and Heritage Center. The BRBTC is a growing organization and are seeking a team member who can assist us as we build the organization’s capacity to maintain the 110-mile-long Bartram National Recreation Trail and grow our membership, volunteer base, and programs. The position is 20 hours per week at $25per hour and will report to, and work in coordination with, the organization’s Executive Director.

SCOPE OF WORK:

• Maintain database through membership entry, merchandise purchases, donations, volunteer status, and other relevant aspects of database management as identified.
• Integrate Mailchimp data into organizational database
• Update and create content for website regarding events, registration, and information, and volunteer recruitment
• Assist with events and promote BRBTC events through social media and print outlets
• Create and implement a membership development strategy utilizing direct mail, mailchimp contacts, and other yet TBD platforms.
• Assist the Executive Director in grant writing and reporting
• Focus on growing the organization
• Other duties as required

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Competency in Wordpress, Mail Chimp, Facebook, Instagram
• Membership database management
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suites
• Ability to produce content utilizing Adobe or Canva
