    Position Overview: Director of EA Family Shelter Programs

    We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified Director of EA Family Shelter Programs to join our leadership team. This position is responsible for overseeing and operating the EA Family Shelter programs, including congregate and scattered site units. These programs serve families experiencing homelessness and are funded primarily by the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC).

    In this role, you will manage case management staff, ensure high-quality programming, and develop key community partnerships, all while upholding our commitment to trauma-informed care and participant-centered approaches.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to care.
    • Oversee shelter and stabilization programs for families.
    • Supervise and mentor the case management team, ensuring professional development and self-care.
    • Manage budgets, grants, and other funding sources.
    • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and city regulations, as well as EOHLC contractual requirements.
    • Build positive relationships with families, landlords, and service providers to assist in housing stability and re-housing efforts.
    • Facilitate staff training, case audits, and program development to ensure continued excellence in service delivery.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field (LCSW, LMHC, LADC I or II, or CADAC preferred).
    • 5+ years of experience in residential programming, with 3+ years of supervisory experience.
    • Proven expertise in trauma-informed care and working with families facing crisis, homelessness, and trauma.
    • Experience with federal and state housing programs, child welfare, and evidence-based practices.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population.
    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
    • CPR/First Aid Certification required (or upon hire).
