    Description

    Project Place seeks a full-time Philanthropy Coordinator to join our Philanthropy team. As Philanthropy Coordinator, you will play a key role in the success of Project Place’s year-round fundraising efforts, with a particular focus on coordinating Climb for a Cause, Project Place’s annual fundraiser at Fenway Park.

    In your role, you will support and participate in larger philanthropy team activities, including fundraising appeals and donor cultivation, outreach, and stewardship. You will also manage and execute Project Place’s communications, including social media, newsletters, and client story development, with the opportunity to expand and innovate communication strategies. You will be a great fit if you’re nimble and motivated, with an aptitude for project management and a keen ability to communicate effectively, set and meet deadlines, and follow up effectively with partners.     Specific duties of the Philanthropy Coordinator include:

    • Clearly and confidently communicate with Project Place constituencies
    • Provide support for Project Place’s peer-to-peer fundraising event, Climb for a Cause
    • Develop content to be shared via social media channels and email
    • Draft donor and constituent correspondence
    • Coordinate appeals and donor mailings, including preparing the mailing lists, printing, labeling, and mailing
    • Maintain accurate constituent data in relevant databases
    • Performing other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director or designee

    Qualifications:

    • Commitment to Project Place’s mission to end homelessness and poverty
    • Experience working in the development function of a nonprofit organization; experience with non-profit, mission-driven organizations preferred
    • Excellent project management skills with a high level of organization
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
    • Ability to manage up and across, distilling feedback from various viewpoints
    • Demonstrated focus on equity and awareness to make events accessible for all audiences
    • Strong writing and communication skills with a high level of attention to detail
    • Strong customer service skills and prior experience working with diverse people, organizations, and communities
    • Experience and comfort with technology

    Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

    • Typical office environment
    • Ability to work onsite at Project Place daily with the potential for assigned remote workdays dependent on department needs. Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends as needed
    • Travel: Ability to use public transit and agency provided ride share service to travel to community partner locations
    • Frequent sitting
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. occasionally
    • Ability to use a computer
    • Ability to reach, grasp and walk, frequently
    • This role requires communicating with others frequently
