Project Place

Project Place is a community based organization serving homeless individuals in Boston. Our mission is to promote hope and opportunity for homeless individuals by providing the skills, education, resources and personal support necessary to obtain employment and housing and sustain economic stability and independence over a lifetime.

Located in the South End of Boston, Project Place was founded in 1967 as a safe haven for runaway youth. As the needs of the community changed, so has the programming at Project Place. Today, Project Place is entrepreneurial in its approach to eradicating homelessness.

Project Place currently operates three small businesses employing homeless individuals, provides job training classes, educational opportunities, computer training, and permanent and transitional housing. Project Place makes a minimum of a two year commitment to provide post placement services to its clients in support of long term life change.
