    Position Summary:

    The Residential Cluster Director is responsible for oversight and operation of three Department of Developmental Disabilities (DDS) funded 24-hour residential homes for adults with intellectual disabilities. The Residential Cluster Director ensures that programs promote residents’ health and safety, community integration, and person-centered support to pursue individual goals and be as independent as possible.

    HIGHLIGHTS

    • $69,000-$71,000/yr salary range

    • Hybrid schedule including group home locations in Newton, Waltham office, and some work from home
    • Paid time off includes ample sick time and 22 days of vacation, in addition to national and some Jewish holidays

    Responsibilities of the Residential Cluster Director

    • Supervise two Residence Managers, as well as ensure quality hiring, onboarding, and training of all staff in cluster
    • Ensure managers’ staff schedules are in compliance
    • Evaluate milieu and work with the Director to develop systems and implement staff trainings to meet residents’ support needs and regulations
    • Ensure high-quality services including medical management, skill development, and social/recreational activities
    • Complete paperwork to meet DDS regulations regarding service planning, as well as medical and financial management
    • Support Residence Managers to communicate collaboratively and proactively with collateral contacts

    Requirements of the Residential Cluster Director

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field
    • At least 5 years supervisory experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, preferably in a residential setting
    • Familiarity with Department of Developmental (DDS) regulations, preferred
    • Ability to make safe, consistent, and effective clinical decisions in crisis and non-crisis situations
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication and conflict resolution skills
    • Ability to plan, organize, and evaluate residents’ goals/activities, operations, and staffing patterns
    • Ability to pass First Aid/CPR/MAP trainings within 90 days
    • A valid driver's license and a reliable, insured vehicle (mileage is reimbursed)
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Outlook
