    Description

    Work with a purpose! Oasis - A Haven for Women and Children seeks a Human Resources Manager to oversee all aspects of HR, including recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee relations, and benefits administration.

    JOB DUTIES

    1. Coordinate the recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel and temporary employees.
    2. Conduct new employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests if relevant; conduct background and reference checks.
    3. Monitor performance evaluation program and revise as necessary.
    4. Participates in developing department goals, objectives, and systems
    5. Assist in development, implementation and administration of personnel policies and procedures.
    6. Administer employee benefit programs including insurances and retirement plan.
    7. Maintain accurate HR employee files and systems, ensuring all information is current and in compliance with licensing requirements.
    8. Serve as the primary resource for employees on all Human Resources practices, including questions about benefits, payroll, leaves of absences, performance review processes, and management policies.
    9. Participate in administrative staff meetings and other relevant meetings
    10. Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of department and services performed.
    11. Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
    12. Other related tasks as determined by management.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    1. Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience, with five years of experience in the field or in a related area.
    2. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within Human Resources
    3. Supervisory/management experience in Human Relations field.
    4. Demonstrated ability to achieve goals through coordination of many individuals and activities
    5. People-oriented personality and ability to work within a wide variety of cultural, educational and religious differences.
    6. Ability to handle complex, confidential employee issues with tact, discretion and empathy.
    7. Excellent communication and time management skills.
    8. Knowledge of technology and Microsoft office applications.
