    Description

    Part -time work - 6hr hours a day. Monday - Friday, weekends off.

    Head Cook - will prepare and supervise volunteers with daily food preparation, following all sanitation and safety processes.

    Skills & Qualifications

    1. 3 years' experience in large quantity meals preparation and menu planning.
    2. Obtain a Valid Food Handlers Certificate and Food Protection Managers Certificate for the County of Los Angeles.
    3. Valid Driver's Licenses.
    4. Ability to work within a team.
    5. Strong organizational skills

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Create up to 240 nutritious and appetizing Meals 5 days a week (120 lunches & 120 hot dinners). low in salt, and not to spicey
    • Develop a bi-weekly menu using Donated and product bought by our distributors.
    • manage/oversee all volunteers while preparing the food.
    • keep up on all and new Health codes for the County of L.A.
    • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
    • keep in mind that this is a rented kitchen, and others may use it.
    • ordering from vendors and working with the office to maintain budget.

    Physical demands -

    Ability to work with volunteers

    Ability to lift 25+ lbs.

    Ability to stand for 6 hours a day.
